The School at Majestic Ranch is located in Boerne, in the heart of the Texas Hill Country just 25 minutes north of San Antonio, on a scenic 525 acre ranch. Since 1989, students from San Antonio, Bandera, Kerrville, Boerne, Comfort and surrounding towns in the Texas Hill Country have benefited from exposure to visiting artists and professors through the residency program at the ranch. In 2006, programs were expanded to include a variety of enrichment programs for community participation.

The School at Majestic Ranch Classes, Workshops, & Open Studios

Our classes offer 6-11 weeks of art instruction by professional artists/educators in a variety of art media, techniques, and topics. Classes meet for 3 hours once a week, and are offered for all levels of experience.

Workshops offer focused instruction in specialized topics in a shorter time frame. Depending on the topic, they will range in duration from half a day to a week.

Open Studios allow TSMR students and other interested artists to utilize the studio facilities at certain times during the week for the pursuit of their creative interests.  Check with administrative staff for details.

The School at Majestic Ranch Exhibits

The gallery space hosts exhibits of a broad spectrum of artists' works, including that of visiting artists, our instructors, area artists, and Majestic Ranch students. Opening receptions are an opportunity for the public to meet and celebrate the artists and their work.

The School at Majestic Ranch Lectures, Performances, & Events

The School at Majestic Ranch hosts lectures by scholars and artists on art-related topics, and slide lectures by exhibiting artists and instructors. Performances include music, poetry readings, and events by performance artists. Other events celebrating and benefiting the arts are held throughout the year and provide opportunities for fun, inspiration, and fellowship in our unique setting.
