Supply List: "Making your Mark"

Some specialty supplies will be available for purchase from the instructor. Thermofax supplies will be sold at cost -- approximately $8.00 per frame and film stencil. Iron on transfer materials will be sold at cost (about $1.25 per sheet)

 

Other than that, you will require: 

 

Rubber gloves, disposable and/or cleaning gloves

2-3 gallon bucket (recycled kitty litter buckets or similar is fine)

package of plastic ziplock bags, gallon size

journal or sketchbook and writing materials

Foam bushes, variety of sizes

small jar gel medium

small foam roller

1 or 2 colors of Transparent Setacolor Textile Paint (Michael's or Dharma Trading Company online)

Straight pins, preferable quilting pins with large bead head

6 to 12 yards of natural fiber fabric -- silk, linen, cotton, flax, tencil, cellulose rayon --no wool -- preferably a variety, prewashed and dried before class or PFD (prepared for dye)  PFD fabrics can be ordered online from Dharma Trading Company and other sources

Procion MX dyes

Textile Paints

Mylar Foil and/or gold leaf

Iron-on transfer
