Ceramics: Introduction to the Potter's Wheel

Instructed by Michael Saul

Program Details

Audience: Beginner to Intermediate

This course is a great way to begin to learn the ancient art of the potter's wheel.  Students will develop basic throwing skills while making vases, mugs, jars and bowls from stoneware clay.  The class will learn to glaze and decorate the forms made in this course.  Students will prepare and load their pots to be fired in an oxidation or wood fired kiln.  This is a great class for an individual seeking a dynamic learning experience.

Tuition covers glaze materials and kiln firing; however, students should anticipate additional fees for clay and some tools.

Requires Introduction to Clay course or other introductory instruction.
