Majestic Ranch Newsletter #3 - August 2008
August passed in a busy blur at the Ranch. Our children's program concluded, and our summer schedule came to an end during the last week of August, as children returned to school. The success of our children's program is very exciting, and the Foundation will continue its commitment to art education for children.
On the music front, we had a great time with the Marks Brothers, who brought the house down at their concert.
We also had a visit from Los Mariachi de Kerrville de Fritz Morquecho, and the dancing went on all night!
Our final August concert (but not our final summer concert!) was with Tennessee Valley Authority. It was a stormy night in the area, but a crowd made it out to the Pavilion and a good time was had by all.

Summer has also been a time of growth at Majestic Ranch. We have added a ceramics facility on our Hilltop Pavilion to accommodate our extensive ceramic program, and we will soon be embarking upon other changes and improvements at our facilities.
Our Open House on September 7th offers existing students and any interested parties the opportunity to come and look around. We will have art work from all of our faculty members on show, and a huge collection of student work to view, covering all of our disciplines. The Open House begins at 4pm on Sunday, with wine and food in the studios and gallery, and harp music from Jo Ingram; and continues on into the evening with pianist extraordinaire, Van Kirkle, who will be tinkling the ivories from 5:30pm. Come and join in the fun, and watch the beautiful sunset on the Hilltop Pavilion - spoken of many visitors as one of the best views in the Hill Country.
We will be offering two more concerts in the fall, so keep your eyes peeled for more information.
In the meantime, all of our classes are online, and registration is open right now, so come on in and 'Fall for the Arts'
